MEDIATION FOR FRIENDS? HUH?
Yes, although this is not normally what one thinks when one thinks about mediation, friends have trouble too.
Mediation for extended family is more common, but also not as common as it should be. Although children are not normally a factor, it is so important for a family to be able to get along. We are often asked to get involved during estate disputes, inheritance and verbal agreement disputes. Mediation for business partners is also common and usually occurs when a business venture is on a path and two partners want to take it in different directions, or due to verbal agreements that two people understand differently. If you can get us in during the agreement-making phase, we will save you a lot of time and hardship! Handling disputes can take days, but clarifying an agreement fully when it is new usually takes only an hour.
